Describe how Ida’s words have inspired your work and life…
‘Rolfing has been part of my life since I was a child and as an adult, a Rolfer and a teacher of Rolfing and Rolf Movement Integration, I have a great joy of living with Dr Ida Rolf’s work every day of my life. I feel its benefits in my own body and my own movement and I am so happy to have her understanding and her vision to guide me with my work with other people. So, that I can help them to attain a deeper level of ease, grace, and joy in their bodies, in their movement and in their lives’.
How does Ida’s work continue to be relevant in the 21st century?
‘Rolfing as we move into the 21st century becomes an art, a skill, a way of life that is even more essential than it has been before. We are living in times that are increasingly more virtual and increasingly polarised. Now, it doesn’t matter how virtual our life becomes if our body is unhealthy or unhappy, we will not be healthy or happy. Rolfing harmonises this, not only harmonises in a line that is not only to our own centre but to the gravity field and to the context in which we live and move and have our being, other people, the way we orient our surroundings. And this becomes essential for living an integrated life in the 21st century’.
