Before Rolfing
Despite a degree in chemistry and a brief career as a chemist, Hubert’s true passion was dance. Simultaneously pursuing a classical and contemporary dance career, Hubert studied, and then conducted his own research in somatic techniques. This led him to investigate the domains of functional rehabilitation, biomechanics and the nervous system’s function in motricity.
Inspiration to train in Rolfing®
As a dancer, I have always been interested in movement. And even more so when I recognized that some movements were very difficult for me. With the help of a doctor and the practice of many different movement techniques, I was really able to successfully change my way of moving. This led to a passion in understanding all aspects of human motricity. Rolfing® was a turning point in my life. When I got Rolfed, it helped me to build a common sense in the knowledge and techniques I had already learnt through the understanding of gravity organization and its impact on our physical and psychological attitudes.
