Lúcia Merlino has taught movement for over 35 years through the performing arts, dance and somatic education. She has conducted certification trainings in Rolfing® SI and Rolf Movement® in São Paulo and Buenos Aires. In addition to her training programs, Lúcia also offers workshops and coordinates supervision groups for practitioners.
Lucia holds a PhD in Arts from UNICAMP and an MA in Communication and Semiotics from PUC-SP. Her extensive studies with Hubert Godard have been a profound source of inspiration for her research. Her current focus lies in exploring the transformative power of metaphor in shaping body consciousness, as well as examining the role of the imaginary in facilitating client’s integration of the changes made possible through somatic practices.
